Invocation
Invocation began with an idea by Jewell (Julia Hope Brightwell) in summer 2024 for a festival or gathering dedicated to just movement, sound & song. After talks with Bart & Tarisha, Directors at The Leela Centre in Dorset, the seed was planted and the work began to organise the first Invocation.

Julia Hope Brightwell, a.k.a. Jewell has always loved music, dance & singing. Now Creative Director & Teacher of Dance Connection, she loves to immerse herself in sound, music, singing, and creativity as much as possible.

Gavin Frank
Co-Leader from 2026, musician and singer with Madrum, Gavin brings his passion for the Indian Scale and the Singing Body to Invocation.
Briony Greenhill
Briony is a singer and musician who has brought Collaborative Vocal Improvisation (C.V.I.) to the UK with a few others.
Ilaria Franchi
Italian Ilaria is passionate about dance and brought Movement Medicine to our first festival.
Guest Facilitator
Michelle Crozier joined us as a guest facilitator in 2025 with Kirtan, live music and Mantra of the Heart.
